The Biggest Stories From This Weekend

Maybe you were studying too hard, or maybe you need a little refresher. In any case, here’s what you missed this weekend:

1. IRFU drops Jackson and Olding:

Saturday saw one of the biggest developments in the Belfast Rape Trial case that has had the nation hooked for weeks. The Irish Rugby Football Union, released a statement online which said both players had been released from their contracts effective immediately, with many outlets reporting both players were paid off with severance settlements close to that of their contracts. With both players earning over €100,000, they look set to continue their careers abroad as Clermont rumoured to be interested in signing Jackson.

2. Tristan Thompson Cheats On Khloe Kardashian:

They were the golden couple; he was a Cleveland Cavaliers legend, she was a reality mogul. Their romance was whirlwind and filled with ups and downs. His ex was pregnant when they met and had their first child when Khloe found out she was pregnant. When rumours of his alleged cheating began to swirl, a video of the Cavaliers player surfaced featuring two women in a nightclub in Manhattan. All while his pregnant girlfriend Khloe was in Cleveland awaiting his return from New York. The stress from the scandal had reportedly sent her into early labour, with their relationship hanging in the balance, no word yet on the baby’s name or last name.

3. Coachella 2018:

It was a star studded weekend at the California festival where acts such as Eminem took to the stage to perform with other artists such as 50 cent and Dr Dre. Up and comers such as Skylar Grey and Bebe Rexha also took to the stage. Other acts over the course of the festival included Beyonce, Jay Z and Destiny’s child, with Bey later performing with sister Solange. Also spotted were on again off again couple the weeknd and Bella Hadid, rumoured to have reconciled and were seen together at Coachella according to E! News.

4. John Cena and Niki Bella split after six years:

Wrestling’s golden couple have officially called it quits and are down for the count after six years together and an engagement. With a year-long engagement and a very public proposal at Wrestle Mania 33, the pair were busy planning nuptials and had even moved up the date of their wedding, but unfortunately like many couples in Hollywood these days they have separated. In a joint statement they said ‘We continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives’. They aren’t the only couple to call it quits, just recently love’s young dream Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan called it quits on their marriage and are now looking to co parent their daughter, the same can be said about Chris Pratt and Anna Farris who also recently split up.
