Major fashion trends for 2016

Last year saw the 70’s comeback, along with the revival of the polo neck. This year is all about flat shoes, pleats and Victorian styling.
But you would be mistaken if you think that the 70’s obsession of 2015 is going anywhere, as suede is here to stay. The much-loved fringe trim is also going to be huge for this fashion season.
The Victorian-era has influenced many designers for their 2016 collections. We are going to be seeing a lot of ruffles, puffy sleeves and high-collar necklines.

It’s out with the bardo look and in with the X neckline for this year. The X neckline is still going to show off our shoulders nicely.

Last year was all about the platform heels which have left us with crippled feet after a long year of night’s out, so you’ll be happy to know that this year flat pumps are back in fashion.
While last year palazzo pants were the big deal, this year it’s going to be pleats – everywhere. Whether it be a skirt, dress, or even pants, you’re going to be seeing a lot of pleats this season.

Goodbye to the bucket bags as we make we for the half-moon bag. After the half-moon bag was spotted on Victoria Beckham’s catwalk during New York Fashion Week it quickly became the ‘it’ bag for 2016.
