A perfect opportunity to get involved in something you love whether it’s a sport, gaming or fashion there is something for everyone. If you are looking for something that involves nights out and different events societies like Accounting and Finance, Esoc and Snow sports are options among many others to choose from.
It is always a good idea to join a few different clubs or societies. One might link in with your course and the others might be hobbies. At first, it can feel intimidating but go to the AGM or the audition. Put yourself out there! Going to these events will help you make new friends and become more involved.
Societies always look for new committee members towards the end of each year, being on a committee has great benefits. You could take up a role such as events officer, sponsorship officer or secretary. To be apart of a committee is an amazing experience and it would be recommended to go for.
Who doesn’t love a trip away over Christmas and a few nights out? College clubs and societies are known for their annual trips abroad. Most of these consist of nice city breaks over the Christmas holidays.
Let’s face it we won’t all remember every lecture we attended, go out and get involved because your time in college will be some of the best times you have. This is a great way to meet new people, travel and make memories during your college experience.
