What does home mean to you?  Is it an old jumper your dad used to wear, your annual summer trip, your favourite cup, the library, or your dog licking your face?  Denny  launched Ireland?s first ever search to find out and to celebrate they gave away one lucky campus.ie winner a fantastic Flip phone.

Denny?s nationwide search Craig Doyle has officially launched Ireland?s first ever search to find out what home means to the country!  Denny is taking to the road to find out in it?s ?Home on Wheels?, plus other specially created ?homes? will be popping up throughout the country on main retail streets. 

Denny is donating ?1/85p to The Simon Community on behalf of every individual who shares their thoughts online, by text, or in person. You can do this by uploading photos, videos or comments to www.homeis.ie, texting 51444 (ROI) or 81515 (NI) or by popping into one of Denny?s homes.


Denny is also looking to film real people and real homes as part of it?s search to find out what really makes a home today.  They are asking the public to invite the Denny film crew, headed by award-winning film-maker Paddy Breatnach (I Went Down, Shrooms) into their homes to share their thoughts with the nation on TV, as part of Denny?s 2010 ad campaign.  To invite the Denny film crew into your home, you can call 1850 887 000 (ROI) or 0844 544 3545 (NI).


Speaking at the launch, celebrity ambassador Craig Doyle said ?Home is more than just a building, it's familiarity, its faces, family, friends, memories, smells, jobs to be done, things to be fixed - it's security and safety.  We?re looking forward to seeing what is significant to people in towns and cites throughout the country. For me it's my real life outside of work, a return journey, a house full of screaming kids, a window frame the dog chewed and I got blamed for, it's happiness and warmth!?

Denny?s specially created ?pop up? homes will be springing up across the country in major cities such as Cork, Limerick, Galway, Athlone, Letterkenny, Belfast and Dublin.  These are actual homes with real sitting rooms and kitchens that look like they?re straight out of a Laura Ashley or Kath Kidson catalogue!  They have everything from standard lamps to cosy cushions, rocking chairs, dressers, stocked fridges, and photo frames.  There is even a view of iconic local landscapes out the kitchen window.  Like the Home on Wheels, the ?pop up? homes will be kitted out with wi fi access, games, and much more.  People can stroll in, make themselves a cup of tea, have a chat with the resident ?mammy? and ?son? and of course tell us what home means to them!
