The most stable career you could choose

Accountancy remains a top career choice in Ireland today and it shows; 96% of the CPA Ireland Class of 2013 are currently in employment. And it's not just desk jobs, number crunching either: CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) work  in every sector from healthcare, financial services and IT to education, tech and gaming, holding  diverse roles at senior management level from managing partners to chief financial officers, chief executives and entrepreneurs.

Anyone can choose to study with CPA Ireland, from school leavers, third level graduates and accounting technicians, to mature students and professionals with existing qualifications. Many new students are people already in employment who are interested in changing their career path or getting a qualification that recognises their experience and knowledge.

Find a learning style that suits your time and ability

The CPA qualification is available to study nationwide, with study options offered on a fully flexible basis, including full-time, part-time, distance and e-learning. As well as completing exams, students undertake three years training under the supervision of a qualified accountant. The Institute partners with a number of dynamic organisations as approved employers, including Apple, Microsoft, State Street, KPMG and Dairygold.

In the current climate the cost of education can limit many, so CPA Ireland has committed to offering students competitive and affordable study options. To support those embarking on a course of study the Institute has chosen to waive the registration fees for new students.

Get work opportunities in forty countries around the world

CPA is not just a professional qualification; it's also a professional passport, with CPAs working in 40 countries around the world. A CPA designation is internationally recognised and CPA Ireland has mutual agreements with accountancy bodies in Australia, Canada, India and more.

A particularly strong advantage with a CPA qualification is that training doesn’t stop at the point of qualification. The Institute offers a rigorous and affordable continuing professional education programme designed to ensure CPAs are best placed to pursue challenging and rewarding career paths.

A qualification companies always appreciate

The success of CPAs in securing employment in industry, the public sector and private practice in over 40 countries reflects the value of a CPA qualification. It’s a strong brand which builds strong connections. When people see that you are qualified as a CPA, they know you are smart, pragmatic, flexible, innovative and can get the job done.
