RTÉ’s much lauded comedy department is set to launch new show, Foul Play early next month.

The show will be hosted by Aidan Power (your man from The Den and The Café) and will feature several of Ireland’s finest sports stars including Cian Healey and Kenneth Egan.

Think Punk’d meets The Sunday Game as the sports stars get pranked and put in awkward situations by the show’s resident pranksters.

Among those pranksters is Campus.ie’s very own former sports editor, nice guy and all round chancer Rob O’Hanrahan.

Rob and his bessie mates, Eoin Ronayne and Colm Reid, who form the group “Shifts” (follow them here @11shifts11)  have previously appeared in a number of hilarious sketches on The Republic of Telly so expect big laughs from this new show too.  The three lads are tipped for bright futures, you read it here first.

Aidan Power will be behind the scenes watching the madness unfold and will appear at the end to break t to the celebs that they have in fact, “been played”.

Will the stars be “good sports” and be able to keep as cool a head as is required in their game, or will they go a bit Roy Keane and throw all the toys out of the pram?  All will be revealed on December 9th at 10pm on RTÉ2.
