Looking for accommodation? We certainly don't envy you, but if you choose HOMEZE, being a grown up is easy.
Currently, 33,000 student accommodation spaces are catering to the 180,000 full-time students in Ireland. With such a shortage of student accommodation, it is important you start your search early.

Here are 5 helpful resources to checkout on your hunt for somewhere to live this term:

1. Your college or university
First, speak to your college or university. They will direct you to the Accommodation Officer and Student Union Welfare officer who will do everything they can to help. Both should have a list of local student accommodation, private rental landlords and letting agents you can contact.

2. USI
The Union Student of Ireland have an accommodation portal where you can search accommodation across Ireland. This is mainly for students looking to live in “digs” accommodation. “Digs” accommodation is a household room rented out to a student for the duration of their term.

3. Facebook groups
If you are looking for a room to rent, or looking to rent out a room, there are a number of Facebook groups advertising spare rooms available to rent. One to check out is Sroomm. The group hosts regular events so you can meet other tenants and match with the perfect housemate.

4. daft.ie or myhome.ie
Use property search engines like daft.ie and myhomes.ie. to find rental accommodation. daft.ie have a student specific portal you can search by college, area, type, number of beds, transport route and price. All daft.ie student accommodation is listed on a per person basis to make it easier to see how far your budget will stretch.

5. Local letting agents and landlords
Search local letting agents near your college or university. If they only have 3-4 bedroom rentals and you are one person looking for accommodation, request to leave your name, contact details and when you are available to move-in with the property manager. Most likely, they will receive several requests from individuals who are in the same situation as you and could put you in contact with them to rent the 3-4 bedroom rental property available.
