1. Father Figures

Owen Wilson and Ed Helms discover their mother lied to them about their father, so they decide to hit the open road to find him. It is a road comedy that has been done time and time again. Wilson brings nothing new to the film while Ed Helms remains as funny as his Hangover and Office characters. The laughs are supplied by Ving Rhames, JK Simmons, Glenn Close and Christopher Walken.

2. The Mercy

James Marsh brings us this incredible true story of Donald Crowhurst (Colin Firth) as he searches for fame on the open seas, battling to become the first soul to complete a round the world yacht race in 1968. Rachel Weisz plays his wife and mother to his children.

3. Film stars Don’t Die in Liverpool

Based on Peter Turner’s memoir, Jamie Bell and Annette Benning star in this romantic drama about a young actor who begins a passionate affair with an actress many years older than him. Will their love last after the final curtain has fallen?

Game Night

Jason Bateman and Amy McAdams star as a couple in this crime caper comedy. It’s is a mix of Branagh’s recent remake of Orient Express combined with Raj’s murder mystery dinner party from The Big Bang Theory. Game Night also stars Michael C. Hall and Sharon Horgan.
