The long-awaited Game of Thrones season eight teaser trailer has hit our screens and it has left fans both excited and skeptical of what is to come for season eight which will air on Sunday the 14th of April.
Season seven of the show ended with some big revelations that left fans overwhelmed of what was to come next. Fans learned that the theory of Jon Snow being Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen’s son is, in fact, true and he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
Another big revelation was the arrival of the ‘white walkers’ at the wall with Khaleesi’s dragon ‘Viserion’ who destroys most of the wall so that the army of white walkers can make their way through which suggests the commencement of war is in sight. The show then ended leaving fans stunned.
The approach of the new teaser trailer for season eight has many fans wondering of what is in store for the last season of the show. In the teaser, we see Jon Snow, Sansa Stark and also Arya Stark in the crypts of Winterfell.
They pass the statues of Lyanna Stark, Catelyn Stark and also Eddard Stark which all whisper quotes we have heard before in previous episodes of the show. One thing in common with what they are all saying it that it is all to do with Jon Snow and the impact his birth has had on the family.
Jon, Sansa, and Arya all reunite at the end of the crypt where they see their own three statues standing there looking back at them. They all look horrified at this as it suggests they too are dead.
Just at this moment, we see that ice is making its way through the crypt towards them where they then pull out their swords which shows they are ready to fight the battle against the white walkers.
Fans will be counting down the days till the show airs as by the teaser it looks like there is going to be a jam-packed season of more shocks and revelations to come.
