Hailing from Dublin's North inner city, The Original Rudeboys formed in early 2011. Taking their name from a T-shirt rhyme master Neddy was wearing at an impromptu house party gig, the band have created a unique and refreshing sound combining guitar and ukelele with soulful vocal melodies and street smart lyrical word-flow.

A simple monochrome video for 'Stars In My Eyes' was shot at home in March of this year before being uploaded to YouTube. Since then this charming, understated clip has been viewed by over 160,000 people worldwide. Embracing the medium, a further four videos showcasing The Original Rudeboys special way with a tune and a camera have now been seen by almost half a million viewers from around the globe.

The band have performed all over the country, including a memorable set on the second stage at Oxegen in July; in addition they have appeared as special guests for 50 Cent, Eminem and UB40. Radio and TV stations nationwide have already featured the band in session.

The band also made their UK festival debut on the BBC Introducing stage at Leeds / Reading. The band met producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran / Wiley) backstage, and he was so impressed he offered to produce their debut single at his studio in Surrey. Which brings us to 'Stars In My Eyes'.

'Stars In My Eyes' is released on Rubyworks new GOTTA RUN imprint on iTunes and all good download platforms on Friday 14th October. The band will join Olly Murs, Bressie et al at the Help A Dublin Child charity gig at The Olympia Theatre on the same day.

The band's next headline Dublin shows are at The Workman's Club on Saturday 29th October: all ages matinee at 2pm, evening show at 8pm.

The Original Rudeboys are working on their debut album with Jake Gosling in the UK in the months up to Christmas, for a release in spring 2012.
